SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

That is normally good thinking. I do have a back up band saw. Which one is back up depends on which one fails first. If I did not have the back up, beeg, I would probably buy tires and I will most likely buy from Shopsmith. We have heard of too many bad experiences when someone buys third party tires (maybe even parts in general).
I believe Shopsmith has this all planned out; they are "sole" source for so many items in the parts list.

Checked into the Blue Max tires for Shopsmith -- there are two versions, .095" and .125" thick. Just what I need. Hhmmmmm, just installed a set of Blue Max. I wonder which ones I purchased. They installed with the usual difficulty for someone with a touch of arthritis, but all went well. They certainly look great!
