I was watching that same unit on Craigslist and you beat me to it. However I just picked one up for $150 so I'm happy. Can't wait to see how this thing works in the shop. I have a shop vac with a dust deputy, but got this to help with the fine dust.

The DC I bought has one crappy hose that is in poor condition. Any recommendations on hoses and attachments? I'd spring for the clear hoses Shopsmith sells but I'm gonna need some more attachments to help with connections.

Shopsmith offers all of the attachments that you need. It has been my experience that you need to go either all Shopsmith or all third party provider. There are subtle differences throughout the system where parts are not as compatible as they could be. Whatever you get will work but maybe not as good as it could. I have a hybrid system made up of Shopsmith and Woodcraft parts. All future additions will be from Shopsmith.

Davemcghee, he told me that there were numerous folks who said that they were interested, but never showed. Plus, one person asked him if he could meet them in Cranberry Twp. well given that he only has a Chevy Cruze and a Sonic, that would be very difficult for him to do!

I did not call about it. The day I was going to I saw your post with the very picture posted on CL. I'm not one to cut in line. I was trying to buy one from a guy in Medina but he won't sell without selling the whole Shopsmith system. He doesn't even know what he has.

Can't wait to see how this does with keeping the dust off the lady's car. I see on the product page that you can remove the hoses and let it run and it will clear the air in a small shop in 10 minutes. That's what I'm looking for, I'll still use the shop vac for cleanup, they are just not good for fine dust.

May grab the accessory kit SS offers. Looks like the best deal to get everything I need. I priced it out at other outlets but I'd rather support an Ohio company.

That same fella has a real zinger of a router table, up for sale now. Too bad I could not get it, but I was pretty tapped out, once I bought the DC3300 and the Lathe Duplicator.
