Me and poppa smurf, where playing around on my Mark V. Yes, that was poppa smurf and not me, I was just the camera man ;)

Oops, the picture didn't load!

This branch, was first cut on my power miter, then centers located and then loaded onto the lathe.
The first try, the thing zinged off of the lathe! Soon, we figured it out that the curved portion needed to be trimmed off.

We then screwed it fast onto a faceplate and began turning!

It is Mulberry and it has a gorgeous grain!

No, it is not done. It is still to green. But I just had to see what it looked like, turned. This branch was the sacrificial lamb :)
