EBay and PayPal

Post by dusty »

The following quote was a banner across the top of a page displayed on my computer while I was bidding on an ebay item. I did not know that the two were ever "one in the same". Was it always that way?

"eBay and PayPal will be separate companies soon. We've updated the eBay and PayPal User Agreements and Privacy Notices".

If you are bidding on ebay and you are thinking about slipping a bid in at the very last minute...be careful. The computer clock on ebay and the atomic clock that I use are one full minute apart. I believe mine is accurate because it is a government operated satellite based atomic clock. However, in this situation being "right" doesn't always win.

Use the ebay count down clock.

Ebay acquired PayPal several years ago.
