Another Shopsmith Weekend

Post by ryanbp01 »

In case anyone from the home office is reading this. Is there any chance of having another Shopsmith Owners Weekend?

I wouldn't hold my breath. I went to the last one by Nick and that quite possibly was the last one. Bill V

I agree that there will probably be no more such occasions. Times are changing. Shopsmith has new management and with that came something of a change is their business style. Advertising is done in an entirely different manner than it once was. Direct face-to-face contact seems to be seen as not all that necessary. Owners Weekends cost money and , from what I have heard, provide very little tangible financial return. I happen to believe that the return from this sort of operation is non-tangible (good will and the like).

While we don't know numbers, it does seem as though they are selling far more PowerPros than they had been selling Mark Vs. Again, we don't know numbers but that is what I gather from "the chatter".

If true, this is good. Hopefully, the PowerPro was the boost that Shopsmith needed to remain viable.

Good Luck Shopsmith. May you have a long and profitable future.

Oh, well I though it would be nice if such a get together would be possible.
