Under the SS Storage Cabinets

Post by jwg269 »

I have all three cabinets, they work great for me. I have two joined together under the left part of my SS and the third does not go all the way under because I use the SS Lift Assist. It is only out about 4" farther than the other two cabinets but it has so far not interfered with my work. If it is in the way one day then it is easy to roll off to the side.

Under the SS Storage Cabinets

Post by a1gutterman »

Hi jwg269,

I have all three under my SS as I do not have the Lift-Assist yet. My question really is a request to anyone that may have no use for and are willing to part with any extra handles they may have. I am building some shop cabinets and the storage cabinet handles are perfect for drawer handles. I have not yet checked SS about "parts" for the storage cabinets, as I was thinking that there may be some available from other owners. I have 4 extra handles and eight drawers, so I am looking for 4 more? Anyone?

Great minds think alike, I have already used 4 of my handles as drawer pulls and the other two are attached to the cabinets.

I am leaving for church at the moment. I believe I do have four extra handles I would be willing to sell. I have four of these cabinets. The are stacked two high and bolted together with a wooden top bolted to them. They are terrific storage and stacked as they are allow me to store the bans saw and a sandpaper cabinet on top at a perfect height. If you are interested in the handles please email me at fjimp@earthlink.net Jim

Hey, Gents. I've been following this thread with some interest. I've got plans (a .pdf file) with a cut-list and text for an "Under the MK V Cabinet". It was originally designed for the Model 500 but can be easily adapted for the 510 and 520. The article is out of the May/June '82 issue of Hands On! magazine. If you're interested, send me an e-mail back channel and I'll send you a copy.

Eric,
Like you, I have been following this thread with interest.
I would like to take a look at those drawings.
Maybe it could be adapted to my ER as well as fitting my Mark V.

Thanks,
Bob (drsmtl)
