Two new builds, going on!

Post by ExtraMile »

One is a modern lamp, easy build but multi-staged gluing

And the other is a patriotic porch decoration.

Once finished, I will be sure to post photos!

Flag_Fence
The first of anything, takes the longest.
Their are five more of these in various stages, of completion.

95% of the wood, for the project came from pallets. Dismantled, de-nailed, dried, edged, planed (one side left rough, the other side finished) then ripped and then finally building.

And to anyone who says, that pallet wood is free, must have rocks in their heads

Stencil: I free-handed the stars and made myself templates, for the remaining 5 copies. Along with, future projects. Drilled pilot holes and then cut them out on my SS Scroll Saw

My Modern Lamp will have to wait. I hit a snag in its design. Could be posting pix of it, tomorrow!

You've definitely got the knack! Especially impressive work on the lettering!

I do not thing the "(c)lubhouse" lettering was done by hand! :D

Do not know where the 'USA' came from.

The clubhouse stencil, was from my dumpster diving (not literally) but I have a sign company nearby and I visit their dumpster, from time to time... lol!

The "USA" is also a stencil, but it is a stencil from my board drafting days. I almost never throw away... and fortunately, I have now found a new use for most of these aids, albeit them to be ancient :o
