All;
Thought I would share a pic with you all. This weekend We had our 7 year old Grandson Nikolas. He loves to help in the shop, and when he saw the 10ER pieces all over the benches, he wanted to put it together. So with G'Pa's (Me) help, we started back together with the baby. I have to take the tie bar back off to put the speed changer on, but the time with him was awesome. He really enjoyed himself so we'll do more when he comes again. Gotta start 'em young!!!...LOL
Regards
Eric

Thank you for the compliment!! I am honored!! I had thought about painting it like my shorty and 520 (Hammered Black and Silver), but i saw the copper and pewter and really liked it. So the legs are hammered Copper, the support brackets are pewter, the table undercarriage is copper.
I like the color combo. Kind of in a way honors it age and the heritage we enjoys as ShopSmith Owners. Some think its busy. Maybe. But As I told someone the other day who was invading and taking up air in my man cave(Not everyone is viewed this way, I WELCOME ALL WHO SHARE OUR HOBBY) its my machine, I use it and I have to live with it, you don't.
I am going to redo the AO Smith motor with the ends in copper and the center in pewter. It'll be neat when its done. I'm no Micky D by any stretch, but it'll be a really nice piece that i can enjoy and say i did with the help of my Grandson.
Best Regards
Eric

A really nice job. I too like the color. Once I get my current restoration done I will have to give some serious thought to doing one of the others in a non SS color scheme.

Count me in also for liking the color. I never really thought about venturing away from the factory colors, but I'm thinking about it now.
