Wow! Maybe those guys wanting to save $ on a PowerPro or a Mark VII ought to go to Tampa and pick your mind.

That Powerpro may be divorce free if it involves a sight seeing trip (vacation) to Florida. "Honey Sweethart - would you like a vacation in Florida?"

Charles don't misunderstand these are not everyday occurrences but instead were my observations over the last 10 to 15 years or so. As I said I'm amazed when I see this.
I think Bill Mayo scored one or two of these a few years back.

Shucks, I thought JPG could get a PowerPro without a divorce.

Florida is the Shopsmith place. Over 50 are listed on Craig's List today. I have gotten some outstanding bargains in the past year. 2 510s, 3 80s 500s and a late 50s 500, all for a total of $750. I got 4 of them delivered to my shop. Most of these had SPTs and attachments with them. I had not planned on buying any more Shopsmiths but still cannot pass up really cheap Shopsmiths. I had to pass on a few 520s in the $400 to $600 range with one or more SPTs because I had no more room to store them. A 50th year anniversary 520 (like new 2004) with the latest bandsaw and joiner for $600 almost had me last month but it sold before I could get my coins together.

Not really a bargin since it is sold by a local overpriced used tools place, but here is an original Strong Joint-a-matic that I thought people may appreciate seeing.

YOU"R KILLING ME!

I just saw Mike at the Spokane Demo. I'd love to get a pretty, sparkly, brand new Mark 7 and at $499.99 for a 520, I'd even risk not telling the wife till later but alas, my old tired 500 is getting the job done and all I could bring myself to buy is a few missing parts and the chisel sharpening attachment for the strip sander. 520's rarely show up on Craigslist here and when they do I'm tempted but always decide to wait till I can find a better deal.

510 with joiner and bandsaw. Price seems reasonable.
