Shopsmith Repairman

It certainly is a nice truck and good for the SS brand. Maybe maybe not.

However, how can there be that much repair work in the Albuquerque area to justify the expense of the truck. The other thing is that if he is not an official repair center for SS is the truck legal?

Kind of weird.

How much work does there have to be? The guy has already. This could just be a "past-time" or a even source of "supplemental income".

It could even be there as a source of "write-offs" against income tax. Such skeptics we are!

It looks to me like the image was photoshopped from an older image of a Shopsmith van. I'm not aware of any authorized repair center in that area.

That seems strange to me.

The telephone number on the side of the van is an Albuquerque number and a Google search of the number brings up a web page (that linked to above).

It may not be authorized but I do believe it exists.

From what I have heard Shopsmith protects in trade mark so as we speak I'm guessing the a cease and desist order is in the mail so either he will be getting the van repainted or be signing some agreement to be authorized.

So those that are interested keep watching.

Bill Mayo can attest to that! 'They' did not want him even wearing a shirt with a SS logo.

Now that's really picky. But, I guess ya gotta draw the line somewhere.
