Now some of you will notice that I did not use the guards on my jointer. I am a professional and do not recommend doing this at home. These were fairly large pieces but if they were small I would take time to set up the guard. As with any multi use tool such as the Shopsmith and my CU300 the guards are not always in place when you are ready to work. Please take time to set yours!
