For printing barcodes, it may be easier to install a barcode font to your computer.

install it like any other truetype font. Then use something like wordpad to type what you want starting and ending with a "*" then highlight and pick this font and you are done.

Install new font is not an option?????????

Instructions are as follows.

Go to site and click to download the file. Make sure the next window that opens is set like this:

Explore opens like this:

ScreenHunter_36 Jul. 17 16.20.jpg (27.39 KiB) Viewed 1822 times

Click on the .zip file name. You should now see something like this:

The .ttf file is the true type font. When you click on it you will then see this window:

The install button then installs the font.

Did you read the README?


I unziped the file and right clicked on the font file and selected install as it said in the README. This is for XP and WIN7. Then I used Word and typed *TEST*, highlighted it and changed the font and the bar code appeared and read just fine with my phone.

No! I seem to have two 'problems'.

Txt is associated with open office and ttf is associated with irfanview.

Again WIN7 here (I think that is what you are using).

First, you don't have to OPEN the .ttf file it is the actual font. Just right click on it and the pop up menu will give you an install option. I can't figure out how to do a screen capture or I would show you. How the heck does the "Screen Print" key work? As for changing the default program when you open a file, open the start menu and on the right side second from the bottom is "Default Programs". You can set the default program used to open any file type. Also, if you right click on a file there is an option to "Open With".

The other way is to copy/move the font file in to the font directory. It would be something like C:\Windows\Fonts which will install it for the system to use.

Yes, that is what the README says to do for Windows versions prior to XP.
