computer question
Down at the bottom of the page there is a list of registered users which are online at any given time. Along with those users in faint print are people like Baidu[spider] and Majestic-12[bot], Bing [bot} etc. What is this and what does this represent. If I wanted to send a PM to Majestic-12, how would I do so?
Re: computer question
Internet search engines. They cruise the net to fill their search databases.

You can click on their name and bring up their info. Scroll down just a bit into the gray section and you will find a link to PM them. Same thing on posts. Click on their name and it will take you to their screen.moose wrote:Down at the bottom of the page there is a list of registered users which are online at any given time. I believe that there is some level of security in the system that may allow them to opt-out of private messages, so if the user has selected that option, you will not be able to PM them.

That will work with real people but not computers.everettdavis wrote:You can click on their name and bring up their info. Scroll down just a bit into the gray section and you will find a link to PM them. Same thing on posts. Click on their name and it will take you to their screen.

Thanks. Yes, I was on hiatus for a while. Other activities got in the way.
Now I've got 5 grandchildren so I thought I'd get back to doing some woodworking. Not doing enough to justify the PowerPro just yet, but who knows. Maybe this winter I'll take the plunge.
Re: computer question
Not to worry about justification! The next time you flip the switch and push a button, the justification will be evident.Bruce wrote:Thanks. Yes, I was on hiatus for a while.
