Are you oiling BOTH the control(idler shaft) and the floating(motor shaft) sheaves?
Is the motor belt less than 1/2" wide?
Would that make it squeal???
It would allow the belt to drop all the way to the shaft at 'slow' and 'slip'. Slipping belts tend to squeal.
Narrow belts tend to snag on the sheave vanes also.
