Today in the shop (My new tool)

On my last visit up north I happened to find this interesting little tool. Since it was so interesting I just had to have it. Will I use it? I sure hope so but it is really dull so that would have to change.

If you enjoy old tools like I do then enjoy this.

That looks like something out of Roy Underhill's tool chest. Sort of a cross between a spokeshave and his big elephant shave. What's it used for?

I guess it is used to cut a cove in anything you want a cove in.

I agree with Chuck, looks like it should work good on a chair or stool seat. I am sure you would need to sharpen it first. Have a good time using it, I love unusual tools. Heck I love all tools.
