Interesting concept but the cost would really have to be low for me to buy one and I'm a sucker for router things.

Still, except for the spot in the middle of the vertical upright and maybe not clearing out the lower leg, the K did come out pretty good for "freehand", and I imagine the goof could have been due to user error.

This does open up some simple CNC type jobs, but as you alluded, it had better cost well below a low end CNC.

The tech looks great. But, for true craft, I prefer a bit of risk. The little things that say "this is made by hand", are what my kind of making is all about. I aim for perfect and accept that I miss. Things still come out looking great. I use jigs and forms and machines, but in the end it's my hands and eyes that shape and make what I do. I certainly see a place for this Tech, but I don't see the art... Well, I do see it in the beauty of such a machine going from concept to realization. Check out David Pye's "The Nature and Art of Workmanship". The other side of perfection is risk... Thank you for the amazing creation. I'm not belittling it, honest. I just work in a different way.

Much like many of us in relationships with our spouses, employers, employees, children and dogs? Probably not, even when we review the results and know they are flawed. It was the router's (someone else's) fault. By the way, cats didn't get mentioned because you can't do anything with a cat and if you tried and failed it truly would be the cat's fault.

More freehand.

Thinner than normal stock 3/8" spaulted live edge, red oak.

The "&" was replaced with a cross. Per request.
The customers, loved it.
