Have a jointer and can't figure out how the guard is put together. I believe the spring fits in the top part then the washer. Know it screws into nut then put into the table. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Tom

Check out the exploded view and parts list here on the SS web site. Do they answer your question? I have the new-style finger-board guard, so I'm not sure if the assembly is the same for the older porkchop guards.

Thank you for the blown up drawing. Got it to work even though I did not have what looked like a lock washer. It worked!!! Thanks a bunch.
