W10 Cuestion

Where/How does one manually define file name extension(type) associations?

To overcome presumptuous new software installation. :(

I don't know how much W10 changed but in W7 it is under Control Panel-Programs-Default Programs-Set Associations.

Well it would be nice if that was mentioned rather than just uninstall a program(aka APP). :(

So are yoy saying it is not there in W10?

Oh it IS there, just no clue of that on the main screen of Control Panel.

BTW THANK YOU!!!
Try changing the category upper right hand corner to small icons. Then click on "DEFAULT PROGRAMS" then "associate files". BUTT that's coming from win8.1
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders,molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

Oh OK. The main screen in W7 is the same. No hint of it either.

Duh!!! I forgot about that!!!!!


Now how to get rid of all those pseudo directories(folders) that have appeared since W7.
