Bis-Kit
Got this from Shopsmith today: The Better Way To Join Boards - Shopsmith Biscuit Joiner - Save $36.62. Email Special: $109.86 Plus Shipping of course.
This might not be a better way but it is cheaper. I have a Bis-Kit joiner from Craftsman that is new, never used and cost about $50 30-years ago. I bought it to connect some 8-ft. panels and then moved so didn’t need to connect them. Everything is complete including instructions. The price - $36.62 plus shipping of course. PM for more information or to purchase.
While it is Craftsman it fits many routers. The distance between the three screws to attach it to a router is 4 11/16 (approximate). If your router has that configuration it will fit. If you don’t have a router, the price differential will more than pay for one.

IF that 4 11/16 is actually 4 5/8, and, the depression is 7" diameter, I'll take it.
Methinks the 'depression' is closer to 6"+.

Re: Bis-kit vs. Shopsmith Add
Well it probably is because I have never measured anything precisely. It fits my Skill router. We've done business before so you know I will be accurate on the cheapest shipping. I'd suggest USPS as FedEx and USPS announced a fuel surcharge (when prices are declining) so I wouldn't do business with those people even though the USPS is less reliable.
Let me know how you want this shipped and I'll give you a price to pay at Paypal (gift of course rounded up to the next dollar so they don't contest it.)
Love your posts on the MK VII rebuild. There is one in Tulsa I'm considering getting because it is a great machine.
