I did find a solution to the problem. After checking and re-checking that I was square with the main table I went back and re-aligned my support table. I figured that even if was off a little bit, by the time I moved the fence back to the 22 inches it was off more that 1/16 of an inch. Now after thinking about it, maybe I would be better of leaving the bolts on the floating table loose then square it up after I move it back to 22” ?? I never thought wood working would be so precise! But when it comes to making small drawers for a carpenters tool box I can see why.

I got a wild hair under my skin yesterday and decided to send Incra off an e-mail about my concerns with the set up for the shopsmith when using the TSlll fence system. I asked what additional pieces I would need to mount it on my craftsman saw. I thought everyone who had ordered the fence system and wanted to mount it on the shopsmith would appreciate their answer.

Mark,
I have purchased the Incra TSlll Fence System for my shopsmith mark V model 510 and I am not happy with the set up that it takes to make it work. I want to mount it to a Craftsman 10" table saw it looks like I only need the rails to make it work for me along with some other hardware I'm sure. Can you get the prices and what I would need to do for sure to affix it to the Craftsman saw?

Hi, Kelly-

You’ll be happier with the TS system set up on a conventional saw. The base assembly uses stops on the rails for perfect repeatability of alignment and fence positions after the fence system has been moved on the rails or replaced after crosscutting long boards with a miter gauge. The fence glides at the end of the rails also allow you to lock each end of the fence to the rails for stability during heavy cutting.

The fence you’re using will be reused. The most cost effective way to get everything needed for the conversion is to get a “Base Mount Package” without the fence, which is a pair of rails plus all the hardware to set up an Ultra positioner as a full-time rip fence. The hardware kit is pretty extensive: rail mounting brackets, hardware for various saws, a longer base support panel (where the positioner attaches to the rails), base brackets, quick release hardware, rail stops, and new fence glide assemblies. We sell the Base Mount Package with 72” rails for $239, and removing the fence would lower the price to $169 plus shipping. Here’s a link to the Base Mount Package: http://www.incrementaltools.com/URLrewr ... directed=Y

Contact me at 888.804.6272 if I can answer any questions or if you’d like to order the components.
