upgraded iPhone OS and now have forum problems

Post by everettdavis »

When I select to view a file attachment in a thread nothing happens

When I select the button in a thread to create a new topic, it wants to save a file. Thought it might be a latency on the original open request, but powering off the phone and then rebooting and trying nothing but starting in creating a new topic and great: the same thing: save a file

Anyone else having issues after IOS upgrade? No problems on any other websites.

Which upgrade are you referring to? iOS 9.1 just came out but I have not installed it yet.

I was able to open your Buying a Used Shopsmith v2 file on my iPhone (version 9.1), and when I select the New Thread button, I get the Post a new topic page.

Everything seems to work fine.

Yes it was following 9.1 upgrade. I used iTunes to restore my iPhone to factory settings which reinstalled the latest iOS, then restored from backup.

Un-nerving to say the least, but it seems to have worked. It works the way it is supposed to in forums now.

A restore to factory settings and a clean install is always better than an upgrade. Upgrades often make a mess of old and new that causes computers to be organized like a garbage dump. I avoid upgrades whenever possible because of this.

No problems with iOS 9.1 on iPad (mini) or iPhone (6) here.
