Congrats to you! Dave Ramsey would be proud. Skip Lowes and buy it through Doug Reid. He'll get you a discount.

As much as I love John Deere colors, both the green and the blue it will not be those colors. Just because it is a tractor paint does not mean it is a tractor color.

BTW in the UP of MI there is a company that paints their tractors, trucks and the like a nice color of pink. And sorry not this will not be pink either.

The unit arrived just before 1:00 local time. I just finished lunch and will let it set and rest for a short while then unpack to make sure there is no hidden damage. Still have several projects ahead of this so I'm not sure if I will start assembly today or not.

Since I have no dis-assembly to do this shouldn't take too long.

I like Roger Welsch's books about old tractor restorations; he likes the Persian Orange of Allis-Chalmers tractors. :)

Talking of tractor paint color My father in law has an old international tractor which was red. He took all the red paint he had left , mixed it together and painted the tractor. He ended up with a tractor somewhere between magenta and hot pink. I almost died laughing. After almost ten years of me tormenting him about the color he repainted it international red.

He did look funny sitting on a hot pink tractor with a belly motor mowing his lawn.
