I will need to call them to see what the minimum width for each one is since they dont mention that in there info.

Follow the link that RPD so kindly provided. Look in the table that gives the prices for individual clamps -- NOT sets of three clamps -- and you will see the "minimum" widths given. Just like RPD said.

I have used the double bar clamps for over 25 years. I have not found anything better for panels. One thing I have found helpful is to either wax the bars or now I have started to use painters tape on them to keep them clean from glue. They are the only ones I know that have a slight curvature to them to provide even pressure across the board.

Not sure I understand the question.

The width of the cauls? I guess around 3/4 to 1 ".

The minimum workpiece thickness? I guess around 0".

The minimun listed is the inner most position of the rear bracket.


So what IS the question and why do you ask(the why may narrow down the ?)

They do work really well, I agree. I have used them for years also and they make panel glue up go much easier. I have always taped wax paper on the bars to keep them from becoming part of the glue up, but it is a bit of a pita to cut and tape the wax paper. I think I like the idea of the painters tape...sounds so much simpler. Can you be a little more specific about what sort of tape it is that you are using? And, does it work as well as wax or wax paper?

I have used the blue painters tape or the green Frog tape. I just by it from the local Ace hardware a few blocks away. You can find it at any lumber yard.
