Rescued another one!!!

Now we are in sync, so I need to free that one up.

Just take off the outside sheaves and slide the center sheave off. It might be a little tight. A little soak in penetrating oil or mineral will get you there. It is not a big problem. Then just clean all the crud and add a little turbine oil and all will be good.

BTW, the setting for the outside sheaves is 2". Even though earlier in the manual it says do not adjust since they are factory adjusted and do not need to be changed.

Or, fit the sheave to the belts. One belt almost bottomed in the groove, and the other one all the way to the top.

Oh, there are FIVE different headrests for the Model 10;
2 different "2 holers" cast iron and aluminum.
2 different "4 holers" again cast iron and aluminum.
And, the one for the swing-down jointer. Don't have that one, so I don't know what metal.

I do have one, but didn't have a clue as to what metal. So I just checked, with a magnet. And the answer is ...

... drum roll, please ...

... Both!

Main headrest (D 3045) is non-magnetic, and so presumably aluminum.
The flip-down "hinge" (C 2719) to which the jointer mounts is magnetic, and so presumably cast iron, or perhaps steel.

I have two here and they are both aluminum. The one flip down hinge I have is cast iron.

BTW, does anyone have a spare hinge they are willing to part with?

I may have one John, since I lost one in transportation, but picked up an ER for 10$ but has a frozen quill, it will not retract or extend. I have not had time to do much with it, and now with this new one, may use it just for parts, even though I hate the thought of that.

Try to find DAYCO TOP COG 15225 and 15255.
Isnt a L5 have a larger cross section then a L4?
I got the floating pulley freed up, all is well with the SC, just need to get new belts.

OK, great. Please let me know. I have two head rests, 2 jointers and only one hinge. It would be nice to have two complete sets.
