I've got the Kreg and have had issues with alignment with the 5/8ths blade. IIRC, my 5/8ths blade wanted to point pretty far left (or right I forget which). I recall I had to realign my table for that blade, then I could align the Kreg.

If algale hadn't had the same problem. I would ask how sharp your blade might be.

I know that for me, when a blade starts skewing off it's because it is getting dull or in need of significant cleaning (which I don't do nearly enough!)

I also have the Kreg fence system however I use the Woodslicer available from Highland and most often use the resaw fence. Though last year, with some 4" thick maple I just set up the fence and micro adjuster to make thin slabs (1/16") to be cut up for chess boards. I don't remember making any adjustment to get a straight cut, but could have.

I've just recently added the Carter bearing guides to replace the guide blocks and believe they add a significant measure of stability, but no quantitative data. And frankly not enough wood through it since to really verify.

Don't know if the blade deflection is affected by tracking, but also have Bill's roller bearing replacement kit installed.

With SS's barely adjustable band saw wheels, I look for every fix and advantage I can. Though, yes, many problems can easily be attributed to this operator error.

I also have a SS/Kreg BS fence chosen primarily to gain additional room to the left of the blade for wider stock handling.

When adjusting for drift, since I am still attempting to master the process, I find the 2 hex head bolts that hold the fence in place seem like rough adjustments. When tightening these bolts, rotational movement of the fence frequently alters the desired adjustment. I hope that a method can be offered to assist in following the blade leed problem.

It is MUCH simpler to adjust a SS fence. Maybe my choice of bandsaw fence should have been the SS model.
