Pica is the name. This is the finest marker I've ever used. It can be sharpened to a very fine point with it's own sharpener, it's lead is thick and sturdy, and best of all, it erases easily yet will not smear or wipe off with handling.
I don't know how to embed a video so here's a link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0sOuG2RiZs
I bought mine from Woodcraft.

Between these, the drill press / umbrella lights etc, my credit card needs a rest.

Nice. Must have. If Amazon sold it, it would be on it's way already. They do have it at Woodcraft, I'll make a trip later.
An interesting quote from the video: It comes from Germany so it's innovative, has useful features and it works.

Re: A Lowly Pencil
OK. You guys are costing me way too much with these neat, must have, goodies.
In case anyone is interested Lee Valley (leevalley.com) has these and I just ordered the Pica-Dry Mechanical Pencil with Set of 8 Water-Soluble Leads for $26.45 ($18.50 with $7.95 shipping). You can get just the pencil for $12.95.
