This is a project I built for a friend of mine. The box on the right was the prototype, out of pine and 1/4" fir plywood. The box on the left is out of White oak, salvaged from a local cabinet shop, and 1/4" A/C plywood stained to match the oak.
On the back I have installed a "toothed" picture hanger. The feet are held in place by a brass screw. So, the feet are easily removed to hang this shadow box on the wall.
Just a fun, little project that took some thinking time.

That's very nice! I think they both turned out nice! Stain the prototype and give it to good will or sell it or something ....
Being a cowboy product of the 50's and 60's, I have more "trophy" belt buckles than I know what to do with ... LOL Great idea.

Nice, like the oak. Could be used for many award items, a rail for golf balls, spoons, tea cups ect.

The Greatness officially starts
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

Nice! I believe this display and those items are pretty uniquely American, worthy to show off. Last year I got a tooled-leather belt which so far has a non-decorated buckle, and it already gets a lot of compliments. It was sold with a simple screw-attached buckle, so I could upgrade one day.

Excellent job. Very creative and useful. I'll bet you could sell a few of these.
