What motor do I have?

Post by Tylor83 »

I just picked up a greenie the guy I got it from said that it has 1 1/8hp motor. Is there a way to look at the headstock and find out if it is upgraded?

It should be recorded on the motor plate.

The only sure way is to check the name plate on the motor.

Just checked and it is 1 1/8hp. What should I condition the belts with? There pretty old belts. They look good I just don't want any failures.

Automotive belt conditioner.

Get a spare(each) for when they do need to be replaced or break.
