Moms Xmas dinner

Post by ERLover »

First off a Merry to all!!!!
As if you have been reading my stuff, my mum of 95 went from living alone to just 5% from doing it, so here I am. She made many great holiday meals, plus a baker, desserts to go with them!!!! All from scratch.
So today was are big dinner, I gave her a bowl and some apples to make here Apple Crisp, to die for, slightly warm with ice cream on top. She can get around in the kitchen for all the ingredients.
She loves her vegetables and tended to here garden of 25 years till this summer, fresh asparagus and rhubarb every spring not to mention the herps and the annual veggies.
My Pigly Wiggly has great meats and a great price, this week Black Angus semi boneless Prime Rib $6.99lb, limit 1, with a 10$ purchase, so in a whole PR there are 7 ribs, I order up a whole one, 18lb, I break it down into 2; 2 ribs roast, about 5ish lb and a 3 rib; about 7ish lb.
I made a 2 ribber for mom and me, carrots from her garden with fresh dill, broccoli from the same, and baby Yukon Gold potatoes mashed with garlic and parsley. Pig heaven for mom, OBTW, no room for the apple crisp, will have it for breakfast tomorrow!!!!!
Skill levels, cooking and wood working equal, machining/engineering below these, a topic for an other day.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)
