There was one on eBay for $180 I think, just recently. It might still be there--I haven't checked in a couple of days. But it would seem that having a SS belt sander would be very nice given that I have this other Greenie that I'm planning to convert to a shorty.

I'll just keep looking. Something will turn up.

The Shopsmith belt sander is the best I have used. I sold woodworking tools for many years and the SS is the best.
510, bandsaw, jointer, belt sander, jointmatic

I have a line on a belt sander, from a fellow in Illinois. It seems to be in great shape, and the price is reasonable. I will send him the money next week, and hope to have it here by next weekend. With luck I can get my 510 working next week, and then start working on the Greenie sanding station. That's where the belt sander will come in handy...
