HI Everyone. New hear. First Shopsmith. First question.
Hi Everyone
I purchased my first Shopsmith 510 along with a pile of parts, some Shopsmith and some... idk. Anyhow, in the pile of parts was/is tow saw guards that i am hoping someone can identify. I will attempt to attach them.
Thanks and happy new year!!

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

Welcome to the fun - forum.
Is it possible it started life as a '500' and was upgraded to a '510'? You may have other 'duplications'.
Adding pix is not intuitively obvious. Attach, Browse, select, upload, (insert). After clicking on Attach look below for the browse etc.

Neither of those upper saw guards will work with the 510. These are likely left-overs from one or more upgrades.

Your upper saw guard should look like this:

Mr W, I am not one of the experts here, but a pic of the head stock/drive assembly, and of the SS tag with the model and SS# on the left side of the head stock when facing the switch/speed dial will answer allot.
Oh by the way, dont turn the speed dial unless running or turning the drive by hand. Newbie mistake.
