Re: Router table/cabinet
I have been thinking about adding power lift assist for the top for when I need to raise it to change bits or bit height adjustment. They would have to be mounted in the dust collection or on the exterior of the 2 sides, which would not be my preference. Do you think dust would be an issue with them in the dust collection area?

The Greatness officially starts
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

I think built the same table, but without the doors.oldc6 wrote:more ideas. built this from a plan in wood magazine.
top is 33 1/2 long by 21 1/2 wide.. could be bigger but,

Re: Router table/cabinet
I built this router shaper table several years ago and it has had heavy use over the years. The cabinet plans came from WOOD magazine, then I modified them to meet my needs. The table size is 24" X 36" that I made. I have a 3 HP 1/2" router mounted in it that I use as a dedicated tool for the table. I have a shaper mount adapter from MLCS that I use with SS shaper cutters that works great. The dust collector attaches at the bottom of the cabinet as well as to the fence, behind the cutter. I also added a mobile base to the bottom of the cabinet to make it easier to move around the shop.
