ImageAbe,
The model number for the current Overarm Router is 555970. The manual for that model is available on the web site: http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/productmanuals/OverarmPinRouter.pdf
I am sorry to say that I do not see one for your model number, 515702. You can search here: http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/productmanuals.htm
I wood suggest that you call customer service: 1 800 762 7555 and see if they will still sell you one. Or, maybe someone that has one will read this thread.:)

Manual PL-5243 Rev. 9/89 appears to cover the router arm (515702) along with the other Router table configurations at the time. The current router arm appears to be very similar at the business end to the older router arm systems.

Hi Rob,
Did you find that on the web site? If so where? Thanks...

I have the manual for the Overarm Router. The manual is called ROUTING SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS. It includes sections for free standing router table 555414,Routing system 555413, Router Table Upgrade 515489, & Router arm upgrade 515702. Its too big for me to try to scan and email since it is close to 50 pages. If you want I can copy and mail to you if you are willing to pay the cost of the copier machine and shipping. I wouldn't be able to copy it until next week sometime. If you want you could send me a private message with your name and address and I will email you the cost and send once I receive payment.

After reading the last post, I called customer service and was told that the manual is still available to be purchased. It is listed in their system as "Instruction Manual Routing System" item number 845243, and it cost $4.06. I was reminded that it is for the "old and discontinued" overarm router system and many of the parts listed are no longer available.

While qtndas01 was very helpful, I am going to add this item to my next order to see what information I can glean from it. Good luck to Abe and anyone else who may be interested.

I just received my order and item #845243 entitled "Routing System and Components" is the same booklet that rsdiggs mentioned in his post:

"Manual PL-5243 Rev. 9/89 appears to cover the router arm (515702) along with the other Router table configurations at the time."

It is also the same manual that qtndas01 mentioned in his post:

"I have the manual for the Overarm Router. The manual is called ROUTING SYSTEM AND COMPONENTS. It includes sections for free standing router table 555414,Routing system 555413, Router Table Upgrade 515489, & Router arm upgrade 515702."

The 4 dollars I spent for it was well worth it as there is lots of useful info in it.
