Ordered the one from Peachtree. Should arrive sometime next week so I will be playing with this earlier then I first thought. If I get the time and it warms up a bit I will get started on the shopsmith adapter idea and have that ready when it arrives.

Yep, I think mounting it to the 'front' of the headstock will work.reible wrote:Ordered the one from Peachtree. Re: Laser X Hairs for a Shopsmith?
Well that was a lot quicker then they said. The big brown truck pulled up and dropped off a box. The only thing I had on order was the laser drilling guide so it is here. I did open the box and made sure it works, well as in powers up and the beams are there.
Since I wasn't expecting it until next week I have done nothing to get ready for it. No time for any shop stuff today but I think I can get a couple of hours tomorrow. If I have the materials in house then that should be enough for me to put my idea together.
I will start a new thread once I have some thing to post.

Well the UPS driver just handed me my box with my DP laser, he scanned it just b4 handing it to me. 2 minutes later I tracked it, said Delivered, amazing!! Now I just hope my LED umbrella light on the ER does not drain out the laser.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

Yep, Gonna have to order one for myself.
Those little brown trucks are getting faster and faster.
A package which I received just before Christmas, I was home when the package arrived. The guy scanned the package, handed it to me and my phone(in my pocket)alerted me to a new email. It was the delivery confirmation... Man that stuff is getting fast....

If only the USPS had similar computer response times.
