Larger Band Saw Table

Post by putttn »

I see this morning that SS has a sale on the larger Band Saw table and wondered how you fellas who have had the smaller one (like me) and have gone to the larger table have liked it. I don't use the Band Saw all that much but hope to get some time to be able to make some small boxes & birdhouses. I have Festool saws and a Saw Stop so not sure I need to invest in the table unless it is THAT much better.

I have the smaller table and have no issue with its size. I for one like that it is cast iron and magnetic and has two miter slots. Of course if you have a shopsmith with table system like the 510/520 you can pretty easily make your table size much larger as I have pictured here:

So for me I will stay the way I am unless I were to add a third bandsaw to my shop by way of a newer shopsmith bandsaw with the larger table already installed. I'd say that is pretty unlikely but if a bargain came along.....
