0 For 2 Shipping Woes

Post by algale »

What are the odds that my last two shipments from Shopsmith were both lost in transit?

The one that is really irking me is the the three bead molder knife that was on back order for more than a year! Shopsmith managed to put an invalid tracking number into its system for that package and, predictably, the Post Office lost it and now no one can find it. I called Shopsmith Customer Service on Wednesday 9 AM and they promised to call me back after checking with shipping and getting a valid tracking number. Crickets.

Next, ordered a new set of casters. Fed Ex says it delivered the package at 11 AM. Nope! I was home all morning working in my garage with the garage door open! Called Fed Ex customer service. "They probably delivered it to the wrong address. Did you check with your neighbors." Me: "Nope. My neighbors would call me if they got a package for me."

I think with all the snow last week in the mid-Atlantic area, the PO and Fed Ex drivers are backed up and just chucking packages into snow banks to get rid of them. Think I'm kidding? A third package from a different company arrived today via the Post Office. Box smashed in and ripped. Contains a (non-Shopsmith) band saw blade. The blade looks ok.

algale,
just b4 Christmas I ordered the lift for the table in DP mode from the mother ship, got tracking # and coming Fed Ex. Said it was delivered on a Friday, date what ever. No Package, Saturday looked all over the compound, but they always bring it to the front gate, called Fed Ex, they told me to look all over the compound, and a substitute/new driver, I said I did, moms address, had it delivered here since I am here care giving, so her street address is 4540 N 133rd St, I looked around the neighbors compounds, across the street and one compound north and south. So about 30 minutes later, Katie came a walking with a box in her hand, she has my eye!, here address is 4040 N133rd St, Fed Ex left it there, SS labeled it right, it was the driver, called Fed Ex and told them it was resolved. A year on BO,

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)

Well, the Fed Ex package was found and delivered.

On Monday, Shopsmith is resending a new 3 bead moulder knife. They assure me it won't be another year!
