-I am 60...
-He would have been 88 this year
So...as has been requested, I've decided to post my progress on the restoration of my fathers Mark 5 here on this forum. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of it prior to the tear down.
I originally disassembled it back 26 years ago and it’s been in storage bins since then! Unfortunately, once I decided to restore it, I discovered that I had misplaced some key parts due to 8 moves in the 26 years…hence two more shopsmiths wound up in my garage recently!
I had the main body sandblasted and I’m in the process of stripping and sanding and polishing…stripping and sanding and polishing…stripping and sanding and polishing!!!!! More to come.
I, again, want to thank those that originally responded to my first post on tube polishing!
