Chuck, I currently have a page open to the classroom. If you read this and respond, I will "talk" to (try to) you there.

edit: We can try that some other time. Something came up and I have to go.

Chat room worked fine for me but the video was a Bust. Spent most of the time froze just listening to Nick and chating with all of you and knowing most of you either could not chat back or kept dropping in and out trying to fix the video. Stayed for about an hour and then gave up. Will be back next time and try again. I have that Brownie (I call them) to rebuild I got so have to see what Nick says.
thanks again for all of you that helped me at least get into the chat room

Dusty,

This is what it looked like for me. The testing site looked like your photo in post 65. I came in through the classroom door.

During the session, it was mentioned that this was changed, and later if everything worked OK, we would see what we saw at the testing site.

Entering Thru Classroom Door

Post by dusty »

If I come in thru the classroom door, I still get a server error but the back ground is different and the error message is different./

In all cases, I have positive indications that Java and addonChat are properly loaded. The server for some reason doesn't accept my presence.

I hate to say it, but it looks like it's on your end Dusty. It's either the computer, the AOL browser your using or your internet connection.

Please don't leave me hanging like that, beeg. Tell me what you see that makes you say that.

I don't care where the problem is, I just want to do what must be done to get it fixed.

How can I create the server error?

We need info from you.
What operating system do you have?
How much RAM is installed?
Who's your internet provider?
Do you have another browser installed to try?

I'd suspect the AOL browser, just because I HATE it (probably made in China. :) )

I have attempted this login from both IE and AOL. IE is my default browser.

I am running Windows 2000.

I have loaded Java and addonChat. As can be seen from the error message images I posted.

I have 262meg of available memory.

I run IE thru MSN when I am attempting Sawdust Sessions.

Maybe the addonChat software was born in China and you guys are using it without even knowing.

All other questions, that might lead to resolution of this problem, will be cheerfully answered.
