Wood Floor for Kitchen
In the " Community " forum, there was a post about putting in a wood floor in a kitchen.
This morning my helper and I started on just such a project. I will be posting a few pics later today and over the next 2 or 3 days. It is going to be made of construction grade 1X12 wide pine boards. full length so there should be few if any butt joints. I have always like the look, and since we live in a cabin along a river in eastern Iowa, it will be "Rustic". Should be interesting.

Re: Wood Floor for Kitchen
Looking forward to pictures and all the gory details. Where did you get the pine? Please do tell the story from the floor joists on up. Thanks!
Re: Wood Floor for Kitchen
I had a coworker who put in a pine floor and he knew that it was going to get dings and divots, so before he finished the floor he threw a load of nuts and bolts down and walked over the floor, pre-distressing it.

It be a bit quirky!
After clicking on the 'upload button' a prompt appears below that(often out of view).
The prompts allows browsing for the pix.
Then you must 'select' it.
Then you must 'attach' it.
If you want to place it inline with the text, you must then
insert' it.
All the while the screen is changing!
Human Factors - - - What's that????
Quite understandable your 'status'.
