What is you WISH LIST, that you'd like to see in an email special? Also why you'd like to have that item.
I haven't seen the Dial Indicator set up gage on sale yet. I'd snap up two, if the sale was good enough. That way I could line up my SS & SP's right on, instead of good enough.

I'm curious. Wish alignments do you believe you could improve upon if Shopsmith would put dial indicators on a give away sale so you could have two.
What are acceptable standards for 1) rip fence to miter track, 2) miter gauge to miter track, 3) table to blade?

Basically Dusty to answer your first question, ALL.
For the second question. The BEST I can do, maybe .005 or less?

I bought the dial indicator for the same reason, thinking, wow, I'll really be able to align this up perfect. The hardest part, when pushing the indicator snug up against miter slot, I noticed a slight deflection in the table. So, to align the table to the blade, I used the shopsmith recommendation. The dial indicator worked OK for the fence.

You can definitely get inside of .005, beeg. But I think you can do that with ordinary tools and perseverance.beeg wrote:Basically Dusty to answer your first question, ALL.

Maybe you should consider starting with just one dial indicator.

I wood like to see an e-mail announcement for items that are going to be discontinued in the near future, giving us the final opportunity to make a purchase of that item. Occasionally, I have received an e-mail listing overstocks and close-outs, but I have noticed some items disappear from the catalog without fore-warning.beeg wrote:What is you WISH LIST, that you'd like to see in an email special? Good question Bob! When wishing, I like to wish big - so here goes- - -beeg wrote:What is you WISH LIST, that you'd like to see in an email special? Also why you'd like to have that item.
1) I wish 510 to 520 upgrades would go on sale for $100, plus free shipping.
Why? - Then I could witness the improvements over the 510. ]Better than all the above[/U], I'll wish for an E-mail lottery (that I would win) awarding everything in the Shopsmith catalog to be sent to me ,FOB, Lancaster, CA. Anyone in line for participating in this wish? Why? Then I'd send my well used stuff to someone else.
**However - back in the real World, I'll just take the E-mail specials as they come. I seem to be able to benefit from some of them, and have been really tempted by many! (have a great collection of un-used bandsaw blades and sanding belts)
