Re: Another planned project needs a new home...
Hi Leif,
I would love to have the 10ER to use as a lathe and promise it will have a good home for the rest of my time!!!
I've always wanted to try out the jig saw attachment and yours has it.
I'm in Millersville Md. so we are approx. 70 or so miles apart.
All the best,
Mike

I am very sorry to here of your loss.henecle wrote:No, not in bad health. I lost my wife to Pancreatic cancer in August of last year. Many of my planned projects have lost their appeal. I'd like to pass them along to someone who will get some enjoyment out of them.
My Father in Law was one of the most gracious, compassionate, mentor ect man, at the age of 68, in 1991 was diagnosed with that and as you know, not much they can do for it even now, I was devastated, he was a very Christan man, that the Lord took 30 years to soon, for all he did/could contribute to his family as a mentor.
I cannot say more about him or your loss, other then say I understand, to the point of not loosing my SO, but am my mother of 96 this coming May I am her care giver, and I know it is coming soon CHF, just like Mrs Reagan, and she lost a very close cousin that would have been 96 in June, they had bets who would go first and she died of CHF 10 days ago, I was surprised, mom did not go into some sort of depression.
I rambled. Pic of mom last week out and about.

The Greatness officially starts
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

I sure wish my brother in law would pick that up and keep it in his garage for me, he lives in Manassas.
I would be able to pick it up in a couple of months when we go visit him.
but knowing him he would pick it up and keep it for himself, and never do anything with it.

Glad it went to a good home. The little machine will amaze you, plus you have all of the major components that compliment the machine already in hand! (jigsaw, speedchanger).oldiron wrote:Okay Leif,

Congrats to you brother, take care of it!
PS, I am sure the new jig/scroll saws will perform better, but the 10ER jigsaw will amaze you, truly!

Thanks Dick! I just started turning bowls at the beginning of February and want to use the 10ER I got from Leif to be a dedicated lathe an occasionally run the jig saw attachment...rjent wrote:Glad it went to a good home. Re: Another planned project needs a new home...
Don't sell it short. I actually prefer it for cutting small parts and such over the Mark 7. The conical sander is awesome on it (all of this even before the speed controller change). I use it a lot for horizontal drilling and DP. I have a lift assist for the 10ER just about out of prototype that is going to be killer in a month or so ... just a tease for nowoldiron wrote:Thanks Dick! Any, try it in all of it's configurations before relegating it to a lathe. Pretty amazing machine, especially for it's age ....
