It will be close. My 3/21/89 bandsaw has the cast iron table.

One will rust and the other one won't.:) In all seriousness, the bandsaw with the cast iron table will fit your Mark V just fine. Any other worries?

Other than not being able to use the SS fence, I guess not. Don't know how big a deal that is. Maybe holding out for a earlier model would be a better purchase?

There is a new Bandsaw Rip Fence that was an upgrade provided by Kreg that I believe is now offered by Shopsmith.

At the risk of repeating myself, since this bandsaw does have a cast iron table, you simply need to decide 1) do I want a cast iron table? 2) if no, do I want to either live with it or upgrade 3) am I going to wait for a later model bandsaw with an aluminum table.

Life is one great big, continuous series of decisions.

It looks like you can upgrade just the table from Shopsmith.

Sorry I was so cryptic. Had only a moment to alert that iron table has some differences. Only significant because accessories aren't just bolt on in some cases.mike

Glad you alerted me. I might have spent some frustrating time trying to install something that wouldn't work. Thx :)
