Re: New Forum Member with Questions
I know lighting can play tricks and my Mark V's are older, so could be a manufacturing difference, but does that not look like factory paint to anyone else? Looks like a more finely textured paint, like what I used on my awnings last year. Maybe it was repainted and the serial wasn't replaced?

I have always seen the SS# on the plate, but I dont know all.

The Greatness officially starts
Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

Dunno why it would have been re-painted. Was brand new from the manufacturer when the original owner bought it. Still have the factory paperwork and everything.
Looks like every other Mk. V I've ever seen.

Looks like it will be one of those 3 years and perhaps one of the other owners can tell you where the sticker is if they had them at all.

Re: New Forum Member with Questions
Again, I haven't seen one in the flesh that was manufactured past the 80's, so it could just be a slight change in process. The texture looks different than on my two, which are both from the 80's, and the coloring looks slightly darker. But I'm looking at a photograph, which can easily play tricks. I was just throwing out a possible reason why the serial plate isn't on there. I don't know if the serials on the anniversary editions were not in the standard places, either, so we'll have to wait for someone who owns one to show up and tell all, perhaps.Asbrand wrote:Dunno why it would have been re-painted. Or a quick call to customer service and they should be able to answer that question, too.

That is Suffolk Machinery's web site for Timber Wolf blades. The same company the same place just two different web sites. The timberwolfblades.com site only has their band saw blades. Suffolkmachinery.com has their band saw blades and their other products. Same prices AFAIK. Again cheaper than anywhere else I have found by a good amount.

What does it matter? It appears to have very few operating hours.

Re: New Forum Member with Questions
I mentioned it because there was a question why there was no serial number. I was just offering a plausible explanation for that.
