I had the pleasure of visiting Kettle Moraine Hardwoods on Friday. I bought some nice walnut which was resawn for me almost before I could walk to the cash register. Resawing cost me $9 for 4 boards, 18 bf, which I thought was great. If you're ever near Milwaukee be sure to stop by. http://www.kmhardwoods.com/ I will plane, sand, trim and finish the walnut for use in cabinet face frame refacing.

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them.

I like it but what was with all the cranking???? Computer down? And lack of dust collection? Still I wouldn't kick it out of the shop.

Sir Ed, the picture in the first post is mine, and shows dust collection in use at Kettle Moraine. Maybe the automated crank is an option? I just know I would still be working on resawing those 4 boards 4 days later. They really did resaw them in about 5 minutes and they're perfect. Best $9 I ever spent.reible wrote:I like it but what was with all the cranking???? Computer down? And lack of dust collection? Still I wouldn't kick it out of the shop. Ed, Knight of the Shopsmith

Re: Go Fast Resaw
Hey Mike. We got a late start and drove hard all day Friday and got to Kettle Moraine a few minutes before closing. I was all set to have a quick look around and come back Saturday morning, assuming they were eager to lock up and go home. I asked the manager if I came back tomorrow could he resaw them for me? He offered to do them right away, which was great because we were visiting my son about an hour away in Sheboygan and now we wouldn't have to come back! I do want to go back though, just to wander through the racks of hardwood.ERLover wrote:Tom, I am glad you stopped in there, that is where I get my wood from, cant beat the selection, pricing, and service!!!! Ended up skipping the WW show and just hung out with my son and his wife instead! I spent a good amount of time at the show the previous weekend in St Paul anyway.
