Bird Id

Post by Ed in Tampa »

I don't think this has been mentioned and since there seems to be a fair interests in birds
I thought I would make you all aware of the Cornell Lab bird Id app called Merlin.
It is made for iPhones but it runs fine on my IPad.
Along with a picture there is a description of each bird and their normal range. There is also the sounds of many of the birds, calls, cries, feeding pleading etc.
if you want to know what I fall to sleep with some evenings go to the Barred Owl and listen to the pair caterwauling. I still think it sounds like a monkey at the zoo.

If this is the one I think it is then it is also for android not sure what the differences are between systems. I'm guessing they are pretty close.
