They told me it would ship by FedEx and I would have to sign for it, unfortunately FedEx here knocks on the door doesn't ring the bell and leaves, then takes it back to their depot ( which is 50 miles away) and leaves a note telling you to call them to arrange pick up or arrange a date and time. I tell them ring the bell, don't knock and run, but they continue to do it their way, Shopsmith said they would call me to let me know when it is supposed to be delivered, so I can sit on the porch and wait.

Do you mind if I ask how long ago you ordered your PowerPro? I ordered mine in the end of January, and I'm still checking everyday hoping the "In-Process" status changes to "Shipped."

I just ordered the first of the week and was told they started shipping that day and mine would ship in 4 to 6 weeks, but most likely less than 4 weeks. But keep calling. The stories I hear makes me wonder.

I ordered mine 1/16 at the demo in Peoria, which was a Saturday, so my order wasn't posted until Monday, 1/18.

Wonder not, worry not. Unless you are reading a post by someone who has been or is currently going through the process what you read here is pure speculation. Be aware of the naysayers. If you really need to know what is happening, call Customer Service and don't allow them to give you a "soft answer". Facts man!! All I want are the facts.

Keep in mind that there are major production lines involved (Teknatool and Shopsmith probably the most significant). There are others but most of them deliver piece parts and are much more likely to maintain an inventory.

Is anyone aware of a Mark V (any version) being delivered without someone signing for it?

I cannot image FedEx or UPS delivering something that big, heavy and expensive without getting a signature. When it happens, you might have yourself a freeby! :D :D ;)

If you sign up at FexEx.com for an online account (free) you have them hold the shipment at the FedEx location. You can also sign the door tag they leave and they will redeliver the package without a signature (they use the signed tag as proof of receipt).

A-Men, Dusty! Thanks! Maybe your statement will help put an end to the "Chicken Little" aspects of this Shopsmith Forum. The sky really isn't falling.

Did you read the first sentence? I said "I really think".
Yup, sure did. Then there was a period followed by a new thought. I try real hard not to interpret what is written. Just read what is there. OH well. Whatever.
And did you read the second sentence after the period that you claim is a different point?

I said I was skeptical of that. How is that a different point? How many times have YOU said you were skeptical of something?

Thanks Ed. I appreciate that response. I was going to say the same thing but Dusty sent me a PM about another post so I thought I didn't want to start anything with him.

I still respect your opinions Dusty!!! :) :) :)
