Amen, if we can still say it without offence to someone

Post by ERLover »

On the issues here, I understand the concerns. But, our purpose of the forum is to support Shopsmith owners and products. The forum may be some peoples first direct contact with Shopsmith and I want that first impression to be a good one.
I guess as one of or the most one, never looked at what SS wants to promote here until the ADMIN posted that. I can clearly see there point and objective.
On community I just took at it as a good place for banter discussion, not realizing or understanding the MS concern of all that is said on THERE Forum that they provide for us.
I am one of the worst spellers, and the nuns could not beat me enough to be a better speller, and on a lap top key board the way my hands are positioned and the bigger keys compare to regular key board I miss spell, and get grief for it here, as of last night with gredability
I know it and and take it. Today from a few well accepted members, I saw about 4 miss spelled words, I did not say anything. That is just life, if you want to be credistictive, thats my own made up word, lets all look in the mirror, but I can handle it, I never wore a helmet :)

Greenie, Grayling, SS stand alone BS and BS SPT, jointer and belt sander, 3 Ers with Speed Changers. I think those 3 cover my ER needs, and space for them. :)

I sure hope we can still say amen without offending someone!

Pertaining to SS's admin remarking the fact that this forum may be someone's first direct contact with SS, It was my first.

I've owned and used SS's for years however, The SS forum has been the first contact. I liked what I saw and have been proud to be a member!!!

I as most others will most likely agree, appreciate things being kept clean and when we start to sway a little too far off topic, someone eventually pulls it back on course....

After all, we are one big family and it's nice having friends across our great land and beyond!!!

Ain'y no bodie gif a Rats a about how thee spells.

Tis the subject matter at times that creates concern.

FWIW, the "10 spellchecker sucks" comment is what precipitated my
'gregability' post, not gredability itself.

Consider 'would I say this to my pre-teen-age daughter' before posting to avoid 'trouble'.

At least I hope that would work.

AMEN!
