Long pieces will not clear the base casting since the table carriage range is restricted.
I remember but maybe not accurately. I seem to think that I set up for that thread and showed how it could be done with the lift assist still installed.

I also built a temporary sled for the thread and because I had some long floor material to miter. Sled was marginally successful. :(
