Had to pass on the Heads Up – Bargain ‘available’ thread

Post by everettdavis »

Had to pass on the Heads Up – Bargain ‘available’ thread on something I would have loved to own.

Same song with all the verses reached too many times it seems…

“Bill Mayo Christmas ©Everett L. Davis 2015”

On the Twelfth day of Christmas my true love sent to me

Twelve SPT’s
Eleven Quill Springs
Ten Sets of Wedge Locks
Nine Woodruff Keys
Eight Feed Stop Handles
Seven Pan Head Screws
Six Control Sheave Assemblies
Five Retaining Rings
Four Warning Labels
Three Roll Pins
Two Rusted Way-Tubes
And a Headstock, vintage version B

I thought in honor of our great friend and mentor Bill Mayo who does so much for us, and his gracious wife Ann, I had to write that, but as Bill was recovering in the hospital at the time I wrote it, I didn’t post it here last year.

This morning when I passed on the 10ER and 4E Jointer bargain available post, it just popped into my mind. I re-envisioned Bill travelling all over through the years with his trailer full of rescue puppies he brought home to ‘heal’.

I suspect there many other ‘gifted’ and talented folks out there who understand. Some of us could write volumes I suspect. Sorry I was slower than Christmas getting it out, but I am sure you understand.
