Doesn't Saw Stop take out the blade in the process of the stop?

I don't know that this Bosch method which preserves the blade is not more preferable.

I have always been curious of the technology in general as the rest of the blade drive mechanism has to be absorbing some tremendous shock forces and I understand that's still better than losing limbs, but wonder if the long term effect of Bosch approach might be less effect to other components.

The Bosch system likely would get you back in operation more quickly, but if you are more like me, it is immaterial unless you brought an extra change of clothes to change into after your body also rapidly dropped something at a speed similar to dumping the blade.

I spoke negatively about Gass and his lawsuit when it first became public. I feel a bit different now. I have been exposed to the Sawstop and I must say that it is a sweet machine. If I had to make a choice between it and my "for many years dream machine" (the Delta), the Sawstop may be my machine of choice.

As for Gass's motivations. We are all in it for what it (whatever it is) can do for us. You don't like the high cost. Why? Because you want what you want for as little as possible. We are all the same in that matter.

Yes, I don't want to forced to purchase something OR prohibited from doing so because of Government involvement. Get over it. This sort of thing is here to stay.

That is for sure! Too many live by "just get over it" and this country keeps going deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole.

And way too many people operate in what is in it for me mode, or grab the money and run. Doing what is right is what built a huge part of this country and is far more important than getting rich.

The first names that come to mind is Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg, Mark Zucherberg, Charles Koch, George Soros and Warren Buffett to name a few. Without these people and the many others like them who hold the wealth in this nation there would be a whole lot of us without a pay check today.
